Tessera on Lake Travis, the much anticipated new master-planned community located on the north shore of Lake Travis in Lago Vista, has experienced a number of significant milestones in the past several months. This includes the completion of the community’s negative edge pool and pavilion overlooking the lake and the development of several miles of hike and bike trails in the heart of the scenic Hill Country. Our two award-winning builders, Highland Homes and Wilshire Homes, also opened stunning models and welcomed Realtors from across Central Texas for a sneak peek event. Most recently, we celebrated the grand opening of our community with hundreds of visitors from across Central Texas.
Perhaps the most noteworthy milestone for any community is the arrival of its first residents, and Tessera on Lake Travis is no exception. In the past month, we welcomed our first residents – the Wright family – and several additional families are now moving into Tessera on Lake Travis to experience Inspired Moments, Inspired Life.
Shayne and April Wright, along with their children, Covey and Madisyn, and dog, Moose, moved to Tessera on Lake Travis from Austin’s Steiner Ranch neighborhood. They chose the community over several other master-planned communities in Leander and Georgetown. Shayne works as an account manager for Pepsi and April is a dental hygienist for River Place Dental.
The Wright’s chose to live in Tessera on Lake Travis due to the beautiful views of the Hill Country and Lake Travis community. They began thinking about moving to Lago Vista ten years ago while living in Rockwall for their retirement, but they made it to Austin a bit sooner. They looked at Lago Vista again four years ago, but the move was not possible due to the location of their workplaces. Now that they have more flexibility in their work, the couple is happy to be in Lago Vista to avoid the Austin traffic while taking advantage of a smaller, highly regarded school district.
For the Wright’s, a key selling point for Tessera on Lake Travis was the pricing of the homes, which were very appealing for the overall value. The floor plan of their home was exactly what they were looking for at the right price, and most importantly, the kids approved. An interesting side story…on the day the family found their home, it was only their second trip to Tessera on Lake Travis and a rainbow was visible directly above their home. It must have been a sign that they had made the right choice.
The Wright’s enjoys spending time outside, which is fortuitous given that Tessera on Lake Travis is known for its outdoor recreation and exceptional location neighboring Lake Travis and the Balcones Canyonlands Wildlife Refuge. Some of their favorite outdoor activities include hiking, biking, youth sports, wildlife watching and relaxing poolside. Once the weather warms up, the Wright’s plan to spend time at the infinity pool and pavilion, soaking in the lovely view that helps the couple imagine ending a long day at sunset while drinking a glass of wine.
While Shayne and April have only recently arrived at Tessera on Lake Travis, they are already excited for what the future may hold with the community’s long-term development plans. According to April, the family is very glad to have made this change in neighborhoods and are looking forward to watching it grow into a wonderful place filled with families proud to call it their home.
Please join us in offering a heartfelt Hill Country hello to the Wright’s, and we will look forward to introducing new Tessera on Lake Travis families in future newsletters.
